Marie Veronique Treatment Serum

Vitamin B-packed non-drying acne serum

1 oz full size; 1/8 oz trial size available, too

Marie Veronique’s Treatment Serum is one of those products that stealthily tiptoes its way into your heart, curls up there, and won’t budge.

What’s so great about it? For starters, its versatility: you can use it as an all-over treatment, a troubled-area treatment, or simply a spot treatment (get one of the mini sizes for your handbag or travel kit).

But perhaps most of all, people seem to be taken with the fact that it’s an honest-to-goodness acne solution rather than a quick band-aid. Thanks to its proprietary blend of B vitamins and micronutrients, it decongests skin and helps break down sebum beautifully, leaving you with a satisfying “all of the bad stuff is getting out of my skin in exactly the way that it should” feeling. A host of anti-inflammatories keep skin calm and help prevent additional breakouts from popping up, too. It’s hard to explain, but this combination of great ingredients just feels right. As Marie puts it, “It works with nature to control hormonal-related breakouts” – it really does seem as though it’s working with your skin, not against it. And because it also hydrates and improves skin’s texture, it feels like a very adult solution to what feels like an annoyingly adolescent problem.

We've learned, over the years, that the right acne solution — perhaps more than anything else — is entirely dependent upon the individual. This product is a great one to have in your acne-fighting arsenal when all of the others you've tried seem too strong or too drying.

More Details

Best for:

  • Those seeking a non-drying acne treatment (for all-over and spots)
  • Skin types: All
  • Skin concerns: Acne

Key Ingredients PANTOTHENIC PLUS (proprietary combination of vitamin B5 plus other micronutrients) controls and regulates the oil production of the sebaceous glands (sebum) by increasing coenzyme A (Co-A), which boosts the metabolic breakdown of oils, mainly sebum, via normal activity of cell physiology.

NIACINAMIDE (Vitamin B3), with demonstrated anti-inflammatory properties, may be of benefit to patients with inflammatory skin conditions, including acne vulgaris. In particular, it blocks the inflammatory actions of iodides known to exacerbate acne.

ARGAN OIL is rich in omega-6 and 9, vitamin E, carotenes, squalene and phenols, with a remarkable ability to nourish, moisturize and improve skin elasticity. It's also known to help control surface sebum, thus eliminating that greasy look.

ECGC (EPIGALLOCATECHIN-3-GALLATE) Powerful anti-acne agent controls sebum secretion and inhibits microbial overgrowth.
All Ingredients Camellia sinensis (green & white tea) infusion, Pantothenic Plus [pantothenic acid, d-panthenol], Cucurbita pepo (pumpkin) seed oil, Calophyllum inophyllum (tamanu oil), Citrullus lanatus (watermelon) seed oil, vegetable squalene (from olive oil), emu oil, sodium bicarbonate, Populus tremuloides (aspen) bark, Leucidal (leuconostoc/radish root ferment), Argania spinosa (argan) oil, mixed tocopherols (vitamin E), saccahromyces/xylitum black tea ferment (kombucha) extract, n-acetyl glucosamine, lactic acid, Salix nigra (black willow) bark extract (salicylic acid), dipotassium glycyrrhizate (licorice root) tincture, sodium salicylate, niacinamide, Usnea lichen extract, non-GMO sunflower lecithin, xanthan gum, Rosmarinus officinalis (rosemary) oleoresin, Epigallocatechin gallate (ECGC) extract.
Essential oils: Lavandula angustifolia (lavender), Daucus carota (carrot) seed, Helichrysum italicum (helichrysum), Curcuma longa (turmeric)

How to Use

Shake well before use and keep out of direct sunlight. Use in the morning and at night on clean skin for best results (or use it in the morning, and use Marie Veronique's Gentle Retinol Serum at night instead — we love that AM/PM lineup). If irritation develops, discontinue use and consult a physician.
