May Lindstrom The Honey Mud

$90

Size: 3.38 oz / 100 ml

May Lindstrom The Honey Mud Gentle Enzyme Cleanse & Masque has a luscious, creamy, pudding-like texture and caramel-like smell that make it singularly addictive. One blogger even mentioned eating it on her toast for breakfast. (Don’t do that; well, we suppose you could, but you’ll want to use every last dollop of this goodness on your face.)

Many people use The Honey Mud as a gentle, moisture-balancing cleanser, especially in the morning. A pea-sized dollop massaged onto damp skin turns into a non-foaming, chai latte-colored emulsion that gently freshens skin with a blend of raw honey, white halloysite clay, and nourishing plant oils. It can be mixed with The Clean Dirt for a little extra cleansing oomph, too, which we love to do.

But our favorite way to use The Honey Mud is as a rich, pudding-like mask that gently purifies while at the same time coddling skin with moisture. We can’t remember enjoying masking as much as we do with this delicious-smelling product. Anything that gets you to mask more frequently, and with greater joy, is a good thing — especially when it leaves your skin as baby-soft as this jar of handcrafted goodness does. It's a perfect introductory product to the May Lindstrom line.

Take a look at our "how to use" notes below to get the most out of your Honey Mud experience.

How to Use

- To cleanse with The Honey Mud, mix a raspberry-sized dollop with a little bit of warm water, then massage onto warm, damp skin in circular motions using the pads of your fingertips. Rinse well. We also like mixing The Honey Mud with The Clean Dirt for more cleansing oomph.
- To mask with The Honey Mud, smooth liberally over clean, dry skin. Massage it around until it starts to feel sticky. Relax for 10 minutes, then mist with The Jasmine Garden or simply massage with wet pads of your fingertips, then rinse well. We recommend doing this once a week. You may want to do it more often because it feels and smells so great. That's fine, too. You can also do a combined Honey Mud / Problem Solver mask, which we also love.

Testimonials & Press

"I have very reactive, dry and oily skin (T-zone). I have been using the whole May Lindstrom line for almost a year now and absolutely love it! Anything that makes my skin clear so that I can wear less make up is a win for me. Every morning, I cleanse with The Honey Mud or The Clean Dirt (some days I mix them together, which I love) - and if I have the time, I like to use The Honey Mud as a mask. I leave it on for 20 minutes while I drink my tea and catch up on news. Every time I use it, I feel like I'm treating myself to something special." - Virginia N.
