Description
Gorgeous scent that evokes the feeling of waking up in the jungle at dawn / .32 oz)
Costa Brazil’s Aroma in Oil is inspired by Breu, the natural resin extracted from the Almacega tree in the Amazon. As its creator, Francisco Costa, once said, “Emotionally, that scent just floored me…it was the most beautiful smell, something I’d never experienced before: masculine, feminine; easy, complicated; deep and foresty.”
With Aroma in Oil, Costa aimed to capture the feeling of waking up in the jungle at dawn; he has said it’s called Aroma because “it’s not even a fragrance, it’s just a delicious thing.” To us, it smells of smoky, Breu-filled air, with hints of soil, crushed leaves, and spicy citrus; it suits all genders, and the roll-on makes it incredibly easy to use every day, even when you’re traveling. And we love the base of vitamin- and EFA-rich Pataua oil, which leaves skin feeling impossibly soft.
Of all the Costa Brazil products we carry, Aroma in Oil probably has the most intense, shapeshifting scent (while the bath is more citrus-forward and the candle is a bit softer and more fruity-flowery-creamy). It’s so intriguing that it sells like lightning in stores — but it smells a bit different on everyone, so it will always feel like it’s your own.
