Description
A playful, feminine, modern take on rose / 1.7 oz & .33 oz
Ellis Brooklyn Rrose is a beautifully feminine scent created by Bee Shapiro, a beauty and style writer for The New York Times, Vogue, and others, and Jerome Epinette, the genius behind Byredo and other chic fragrances. Like all Ellis Brooklyn fragrances, it's free of endocrine-disrupting phthalates and parabens, but far more sophisticated than the typical essential-oil fragrances that are typically the only option if you're avoiding such questionable ingredients.
Bee writes of this playful, feminine scent, "An olfactive ode to Rrose Sélavy (a pun of Eros, C’est la Vie), the feminine alter ego of the author, artist and provocateur Marcel Duchamp, this fresh rose fragrance is as playful as its muse. Petals of Centifolia roses sparkle with peony and Sicilian lemon, all above a seductive base of spring musks and cashmere woods." Could we put it any better than a Times Style writer? Absolutely not. Shame on us for even trying.
The phthalate-free fragrance, made in small batches in New York, is housed in an environmentally-friendly glass bottle from an Ecocert supplier; the biodegradable Bakelite compression cap is petrochemical-free. Pair it with the Rrose Body Milk if you're a superfan (most are).
If you're not sure which Ellis Brooklyn scent to try, check out their Chronicle set; it includes samples of all of them!
