Cooling, soothing, moisturizing treatment for freshly-shaved skin / 3.4 oz 

Elave Shave Balm is an excellent post-shave treatment for sensitive skin (and, as our friends at Elave noted, a great product for men who want a simple skincare routine but like to feel like their products are “doing something"). Suitable for all skin types — and even for the most sensitive of skins — this product is a soothing, cooling, redness-reducing gel that hydrates skin weightlessly with a blend of calming aloe and glycerin. Vitamin E provides an antioxidant boost, and cooling menthol helps soothe irritation, leaving skin soft and refreshed.

Ironically, we discovered it by accident: it had been popped into one of our shipments as a gift, and Dara brought one home for her husband, thinking it was his favorite Elave Shave Gel. While one might think Dara has some of the most sensitive skin on the planet, her husband’s skin is even more so; the fact that he loved this Shave Balm so much that we brought it on to our shelves is saying something. He noted that its menthol is pleasantly cooling, but not irritating: "It's just tingly enough to soothe and provide a little wake-up, but not in a way that is overpowering." And its texture is, as he described it, “kind of like a cream, but less creamy” — it doesn’t leave skin feeling greasy. Extra bonus: "It packs easily and last a long time because you don't need much of it."

It's perfect paired with the Shave Gel and followed by either the Intense Moisture Surge or Oil-Free Moisturiser; in warm, humid climates, oilier skins may be able to use it on its own for lightweight hydration. (That, FYI, is Dara's husband's full routine and it hasn't changed since 2011. Before that, all he used was Lubriderm. Obviously, their bathroom cabinets look a little different.)
