Marie Veronique Supernutrient Firming Facial is the new incarnation of the much-loved Kristina Holey + Marie Veronique Micronutrient + Hydro Mask. Like the original, Supernutrient Firming Facial is the race car of hydrating masks: it requires some special handling, but once you learn how to use it the right way, it’s exhilaratingly effective. This mask is just what you should reach for when skin looks and feels dull, dry, or depleted — generally in need of TLC.

When we first learned that Marie had put together a crazy algorithm for this "total moisture reset," we knew it would be something fabulously complicated and lovable. It does boast an impressive ingredient list, replete with things that you immediately want on your skin when you hear about them: carnosine, squalene, wakame, curcumin, various fermentations, and an intriguing mushroom extract. But these things weren’t just randomly chosen to sound enticing; each ingredient was painstakingly chosen to create a deeply rehydrating combination that would optimize skin’s barrier function.  

The new formula includes quercetin to support skin longevity as well as gluconolactone, a gentle PHA that provides antioxidant, lightly exfoliating, and hydrating benefits.

The key to getting the most out of this mask is a good massage. It turns from the deep golden color to a slightly lighter yellow once you’ve massaged adequately, which is handy and very cool and science experiment-y. You can then leave it on for 20-30 minutes or overnight as an intensive treatment for very dry skin. It’s also fabulous when massaged in and left on as a top layer during plane flights. If you're oily and/or acne prone, use it just once a week. If you're dry and dehydrated, you can go wild and use it every day if you so choose.
