Kahina's Argan Oil — light, non-greasy, and organic — is one of the best multi-taskers we carry. With high concentrations of Vitamin E and essential fatty acids, it can be worn alone or layered under a moisturizer. We often recommend it as a "starter oil" for those who have been hesitant to try facial oils, since it has sebum-balancing properties that make it kind to skin that tends to be oily or prone to breakouts.
It can also be used on hands (great for cuticles), body (great for stretch marks), and hair (fabulous frizz-fighter and split end-mender). Celebrity hairstylist Sunnie Brook told us that she frequently recommends it for clients with dry, unruly hair: keep your bottle in the shower with you, work it in from mid-lengths to ends after you're done with shampoo and conditioner, and it'll help keep hair nourished and frizz-free.
We also have to mention that this is, hands down, the highest quality argan oil we've ever come across. This is important, because there is a lot of inferior argan oil out there that's made from nuts that have been digested by argan tree-climbing goats (crazy and highly unappealing, but true). On the opposite end of the spectrum is this product. Kahina's founder, Katharine L'Heureux, travels to Morocco frequently to source the very best oil and monitor crops, working closely with the Berber women who painstakingly select and crack the best argan nuts to then press Kahina's oil from. Kahina also takes care to support these Berber communities so that they continue to thrive.
