Alcohol-free fragrance spray that smells like sunshine on the skin / 0.9 oz
Ellis Brooklyn Myth Hydraparfum is everything we had been looking for. Why? It's an alcohol-free formula, made with 100% pure, phthalate-free fragrance oil droplets suspended in a hyaluronic acid-boosted, water-based gel. And yet it sprays as a fine mist. That's cool, right? But what's even cooler, to us, is that you can spray it in your hair. You know, so that not-quite-clean hair doesn’t smell too much like…not-quite-clean hair. Or last night’s restaurant dinner. Or stale plane air. We'd been searching for a great hair fragrance, but found that each one fought with the fragrance one might already be wearing; finding this product in our favorite scent was a dream come true.
And let us tell you about that favorite scent: Myth is the most wearable, feminine musk we've come across. Like all the Ellis Brooklyn scents, it's free of endocrine-disrupting phthalates and parabens, but far more sophisticated than the typical essential-oil fragrances that are typically the only option if you're avoiding those questionable ingredients. It’s no wonder the Ellis Brooklyn scents are so excellent: they’ve been created by Bee Shapiro, a beauty and style writer for The New York Times, Vogue, and others, and Jerome Epinette, the genius behind Byredo and other chic fragrances.
Bee describes Myth in this beautiful manner: "The airy beauty of jasmine petals and tiger orchid meets the sexy, undeniable warmth of liquid musks and white cedarwood. It's a sophisticated fragrance for the senses, for the gods and worthy of the myths it will create." By the way, Myth is the scent that Bee wears every day. It's one of our favorites, too.
If you're new to Ellis Brooklyn and want to give Myth a whirl in a smaller package, check out their Myth Travel Spray.
Note: Because each bottle is hand-filled, each product is unique and will differ in appearance. This product can also appear cloudy with changes in temperature. Please avoid spraying on the face, even though it seems like that might feel refreshing — we have better alternatives for that purpose.
