Deep-black separating & thickening mascara / 0.35 oz

Manasi7 Precision Mascara is one of the brand’s best sellers, and after spending some time with it, we can see why. Everyone loves a good, healthy mascara — and this rich, creamy, fragrance free formula is such a great all-around player that it’s one of just a couple that have made the cut for our shelves. It separates, defines, and imparts a blackest-black color with one coat; a second coat provides a significant thickening effect. Plus, it’s water resistant (though not waterproof), and the brush makes it easy to apply the formula close to the lash line and the corners of the eyes. And of course, thanks to its rich, organic oils and mineral pigments, it’s as kind as can be to your lashes.

During the development of the Precision Mascara, creator Susanne Manasi Persson was inspired by the Japanese high grade charcoal made from ubame oak (binchotan) and Ayurvedic shilajit resin from the Himalayas — so this is no wallflower color. It’s creamy, rich, and black-black, but beautifully so. 

The formula has been updated with a more delicate but still creamy texture that defines and separates lashes for a volumized yet natural look, and both instant and buildable color payoff. Also updated with a glass package, which we adore.

PS We took advantage of the fact that this mascara was created by a makeup artist and asked her for her top tips to prevent smudging with any mascara. Here they are:

“Smudging is most often caused by excess sebum from the eyelids. If you tend to have oily lids, first prep and prime around the eye with the Skin Enhancer and Silk Finish Powder to get a completely matte base. A matte base is very important.
Sometimes, smudging can also be due to watery eyes. Since this mascara is not waterproof, it can smudge a bit if your eyes are watery. To avoid this, curl your lashes before application. Then, when you apply the mascara, reduce the amount of product on the brush by pulling it up and down a few times in the reducer. Then look upwards and start with one layer on the bottom lashes. Try not to look down until it has dried. Then, look down and apply one layer on the upper lashes. Make sure it dries completely before looking up. Repeat application if necessary, allowing each coat to fully dry.”
