Minimalist summer makeup routine

As summer arrives, the first thing we often want to streamline is our makeup look: layers of makeup and lots of heat are never a good combination. Luckily, we have a fantastic in-house makeup pro, Melissa, who can prescribe the perfect routine.

“In the summer months, I always recommend a lighter makeup application. A small amount of your favorite concealer or foundation applied strategically over color-correcting sunblock (DreamBeam is my all time favorite), some Kosas Air Brow, a cream blush or bronzer by Twelve or Manasi7, Eye of Horus mascara, and a little bit of Vedi lipstick applied with the finger for a light application is the ideal minimalist look. Set it all with some Manasi7 Silk Finish Powder for flawlessness.”

Why Eye of Horus mascara, you might ask? Melissa says, “It is the best clean mascara I’ve found: you get solid staying power all day long as well as more volume, length, and curl than any other clean mascara I’ve worked with.”

When our makeup pro makes a recommendation like that, we all take it seriously; give either the classic Goddess Mascara or the vegan Lash Lift mascara a try. Melissa also advises, “Keep an eye on our socials for a video with my favorite application hacks for the best possible complexion finish.” Her application hacks are never to be missed; you’ll find us on Instagram here and here.
